I suck at frying stuff.
I'm not talking about stir-frying or sauteing. I mean frying stuff in oil. I can fry potatoes and a pretty good pork chop but after that, I usually leave it to Mrs. Mista. So I decided to try oven frying my chicken. Did it produce some crispy fried chicken? Let's find out! Check out the video!
Here's the recipe: 3 lbs. Chicken Thighs 1/2 Flour 2 TBSP Corn Starch 1 TBSP Sea Salt 1 TBSP Black Pepper 1 TBSP Granulated Garlic 1 TBSP Paprika 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper 1 tsp White Pepper 1 stick of butter Preheat oven to 425. Trim excess fat from thighs and pat dry. Sprinkle sea salt on both sides of the thighs. Place the butter in a baking dish and put in the oven or a microwave to melt. Put all the dry ingredients in a plastic bag and shake to mix. Add 1 thigh to the bad and shake to coat. Shake off excess flour and place in the baking dish skin side down. Repeat with all of the other thighs. Put the chicken in the oven and cook for 30 minutes. Flip the chicken skin side up and cook for another 15 minutes. If it is not golden brown, cook 10 more minutes. The skin should be brown and crispy. I was surprised at how flavorful this chicken was. I hope you will try and let me know how it came out.
